Comedienne Ethel Booba, who won the celebrity edition of Tawag ng Tanghalan, cleared up some rumors about her in a recent episode of Tonight with Boy Abunda.
There are tumors that Ethel is planning to run for senator in the 2022 elections.
During the Truth or Charot segment of the late-night talk show, Ethel finally clarified these rumors.
When asked about the matter, Ethel laughingly replied with “Truth”
She quipped, “Truth hahaha. Paano kung truth? Sige abangan niyo ah?”
She denied that she is paid to criticize politicians on social media.
She also agreed that businessman Atong Ang was better looking than Gerald Anderson during the playful segment.
She explained,”Atong siyempre mapera. Basta madami talagang gumagwapo ka talaga ng bonggang bonga.”
Ethel was hailed as first-ever winner of Tawag ng Tanghalan’s celebrity edition, It’s Showtime during the TNT Celebrity Champions Ang Huling Tapatan on Saturday, November 9.
