- Kyline Alcantara and Yasser Marta were launched as GMA Network’s newest love team
- They will top-bill the series adaptation of Bilangin Ang Bituin Sa Langit film

Kyline Alcantara and Yasser Marta are the newest pairing on GMA Network’s roster of love teams.
Kyline and Yasser are set to play the roles of star-crossed lovers Maggie and Anselmo Jr. in the upcoming Kapuso drama series Bilangin Ang Bituin Sa Langit headed by Laurice Guillen.
The series is a reboot of the 1989 film starred by Nora Aunor and Tirso Cruz III. It chronicles the turbulent life-long relationship between Noli (Aunor), a poor and hard-working barrio lass, and Anselmo (Cruz), her childhood sweetheart.Aunor, known as the Philippine cinema’s Superstar, is set to top-bill the reboot series with new cast members Mylene Dizon, Isabel Rivas, Gabby Eigenmann, Zoren Legaspi, Ina Feleo, and many more.
The taping for the series has already begun at the two locations in Angeles City, Pampanga and La Union. However, Kyline and Yasser will have their scenes shot in the second week of the taping.
“Naku, kinakabahan nga po ako kay Direk Laurice. Kinakabahan ako nang sobra,” Kyline said with a smile on her face.
The young actress also shared her excitement for her first time working with Aunor also known as Ate Guy.
“Actually, noong first time ko pong nakita si Ate Guy, sa storycon, nakasabay ko po siya sa elevator,” Kyline told the press after a Christmas party held by SPEEd (Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors) last December 1, Sunday in Quezon City.

“So, parang, ‘Shit, naiiyak ako! Naiiyak ako nang sobra!’”she exclaimed.
Yasser also agreed to her statement by saying: “Oo nga, e. Nakaka-pressure din talaga. Kasi, saan ba ako galing, di ba?”
Kyline quipped,“Sa bahay!”
Yasser played the young Steve in the ongoing romcom series One of the Baes and as Edison Marquez in Love You Two top billed by Gabby Concepcion and Jennylyn Mercado.
The actor considers his first lead role in the new series as his biggest break in showbiz.
He continued,“Ito iyong pinakamalaking break na natanggap ko talaga sa buong buhay ko. So, pagbubutihin!
“Nakaka-pressure lang pero iyong pressure naman ay magagamit natin para maipakita natin ‘yung galing, di ba?”
When asked if he has any foreign blood, Yasser then jokingly replied,“Opo… Putragis! Portuguese po!”
Yasser started out his showbiz career when he joined Eat Bulaga’s segment, Spogify. He then bagged minor roles in GMA Network shows and is now part of GMA’s newest boyband, One Up. Meanwhile, his love team partner Kyline gained more popularity after her multi-layered performance in Kambal, Karibal, making her known as “La Nueva Kontrabida”. She is also known for portraying the rival half-sister of Annaliza as a former Kapamilya actress.
