Sanya Lopez and Jak Roberto were guests on GMA’s Sarap ‘Di Ba? hosted by Carmina Villaroel last Saturday, December 7, 2019.
During the show, 23-year-old Kapuso actress Sanya willingly shared the reason she uses a different surname than that of her real-life brother Jak Roberto.
Sanya revealed, “Dito sa showbiz, meron silang paniniwala na kapag magkapatid sa showbiz, medyo nagkakahilahan pababa. Nag-decide sila na ‘yung isa i-Lopez na lang natin.”
Sanya also shared that she has a vague memory of their father as she was only two years old when he died.
“Miss ko ang halik ni daddy of course. Kasi siyempre ‘yun yung hindi ko alam kung kiniss ba ko ni daddy, kasi maaga siya nawala.”
The network’s decision to change Sanya’s screen name seems to be working, as she has done several TV series on GMA such as Dormitoryo, The Half Sisters that lasted from 2014 until 2016, and The Millionaire’s Wife with Andrea Torres and Mike Tan.
In 2016, she played the role of ‘Danaya’ in Encantadia, starred in Haplos in 2017, Cain at Abel with Dingdong Dantes and Dennis Trillo, and Dahil sa Pag-ibig which aired its final episode last October 4, 2019.
Sanya’s brother, Jak is happy being in a relationship with Barbie Forteza. As an exclusive artist of Kapuso network, Jak is undeniably one of the hottest male stars of the network with more than 10 TV series since 2017.
He was also part of Mika dela Cruz and Barbie Forteza’s Kara Mia as Bonifacio “Boni” Burgos and Super Ma’am in 2018 with Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera. Just like his sister, using different surnames seem to good luck for these siblings.
