Singer and Concert Queen Pops Fernandez is back on GMA Network.
It was at the age of 16 when she started her music career. That was in 1981. A year later, she became one of the hosts of Penthouse Live on GMA with Martin Nievera. The weekend show ran till 1987, and married the latter as well.
In 1995 she joined ASAP on ABS-CBN.
In ASAP, she was with her ex-husband Nievera and some Kapamilya celebrities such as Ariel Rivera and Dayanara Torres.
She transitioned to be an actress from 1999 to 2006 and appeared in many films such as Linlang with Richard Gomez, Gusto ko Nang Lumigaya with Albert Martinez and Diether Ocampo, Videoke King with Robin Padilla and in a superhero movie Zsa Zsa Zaturnah with Zsa Zsa Padilla.
In 2019, she is one of the 50 panelists around the world to participate in new recent American reality talent show The World’s Best and become the first Filipina to be a judge in an American Talent Show.
This year she is back as Kapuso and as a resident judge in the upcoming reality show, Centerstage with Aicelle Santos and the musical director Mel Villena.
As the newest judge in the newest talent show, Pops is expected to offer a performance together with her co-judge Aicelle.
Alden Richards will be hosting this newest show, this is the first time that Pops will be working with Alden and Aicelle but Mel became one of her musical directors in her past concerts.
Centerstage will feature kids from 7 to 12 years old, the said show has not yet revealed its telecast schedule.
