Angel Locsin reacts to shady post of Vivian Velez on ABS-CBN’s Top 100 Stockholders

Though she doesn’t Vivian’s intention in making the post, but Angel stated her investment in ABS-CBN should not be used just to discredit what she really believes in.

Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) Director-General Vivian Velez posted on her Facebook an article on ABS-CBN’s Top 100 Stockholders including Angel Locsin or Angelica Colmenares in real life.

To set the record straight, Angel shared on her Instagram account a screenshot of Vivian’s post along with a clarification.

Angel has been vocal about supporting ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal. The Kapamilya actress reiterated that she is not part of any political party and that she has no existing contract with ABS-CBN. Angel also firmly denied that the giant network was using her influence.

“I am not part of any political party, nor representing any politician. I do not have an existing contract with ABS-CBN. Therefore, the company has no control on whatever I want to post.”

Though she doesn’t Vivian’s intention in making the post, but Angel stated her investment in ABS-CBN should not be used just to discredit what she really believes in.

The 34-year-old Kapamilya actress suggested that critics should not make an issue out of it since she will donate the profits to a charity.

“Sorry to disappoint some people, but money is not everything. Hindi ko ho alam kung anong intention ni Ms. Vivian sa kanyang post, pero kung ito po ang gagamitin to discredit my name and what I stand for, hindi nyo po kailangang gawing issue. Kapag kumita po ang aking maliit na investment sa ABS-CBN, I WILL DONATE EVERYTHING TO CHARITY. Accounted.
Again, money is not everything. (For your knowledge, Maliit lang po ito. As in.”

Moreover, Angel revealed that she has not yet fully paid for her small investment since it’s payable up to five years and thus, it does not make her a stockholder yet.

“It’s a privilege offer of the company to some of their employees in installment plan. Mine is payable for 5 years. Wala pa po sa half ang nabayad ko kaya sa understanding ko, PO PAGMAMAY-ARI ANG STOCKS na yun.) Nirerespeto ko ho ang opinyon ng lahat. Alam ko na magkakaiba man ng paraan, lahat naman tayo prayoridad ang kapakanan ng mga manggagawa. Yun naman po ang importante.”

I saw some posts and been reading accusations that were thrown at me for speaking up for what I think is right. Just to clear things up, 1) I am not part of any political party, nor representing any politician. 2) I do not have an existing contract with ABS-CBN. Therefore, the company has no control on whatever I want to post. 3) Sorry to disappoint some people, but money is not everything. Hindi ko ho alam kung anong intention ni Ms. Vivian sa kanyang post, pero kung ito po ang gagamitin to discredit my name and what I stand for, hindi nyo po kailangang gawing issue. Kapag kumita po ang aking maliit na investment sa ABS-CBN, I WILL DONATE EVERYTHING TO CHARITY. Accounted. Again, money is not everything. (For your knowledge, Maliit lang po ito. As in. Angel and Vivian worked together on ABS-CBN’s Imortal series with John Lloyd Cruz and Maricar Reyes which aired from October 2010 until April 2011.

In another post, Vivian questioned ABS-CBN’s statement about not violating any law and rectifying any mistakes made. She tried to insinuate that the network was admitting guilt.

The first statement of ABS was… "We're not violating any law"… but after SocGen Calida's filing of qou warranto,…

Vivian also defended Robin Padilla on his tirade against the Kapamilya network. She testified that the “Bad Boy” of the Philippines is truly a people-person who only wants to seek equality among the celebrities and employees within the network.

Ako ay isa na magpapa totoo sa pagkatao ni Robin. Isa siyang makabayan at sobrang matulungin sa kanyang kapwa. At isa pa…
