After creating a Twitter buzz on its deactivation and disownment from comedienne Ethen Booba, the admin of famous twitter account @iamethylgabison has finally broke his silence.
In an official statement sent to LionhearTV, the admin said the account was deactivated because of threats from people who wanted to use it for their own interest.
“Ang @IAmEthylGabison parody account na napamahal na sa karamihan ay pansamantalang naka-off air. Ito po ay pinrotektahan dahil mayroon pong mga ilan na hindi mabuting loob na nagnanais na gamitin ito para sa kanilang pansariling intensyon.”
The admin also added that he will not respond to Ethel Booba’s accusations citing his respect for women and said to let her previous interviews answer it all.
“Hindi ko na po kailangan sagutin ang mga insulto at paratang ni Ms. Ethel Booba. Mataas po ang respeto ko sa kababaihan at hayaan na lang po natin ang kanyang mga sariling past interviews sa media ang mag-linaw sa lahat”
In the end, the admin promised all its loyal followers to just wait for its comeback.
“Hanggang sa muling pagbabalik ng aliw at katatawanan.”
On April 8, Ethel Booba shocked the internet universe after she disowned her famous twitter account saying it is a fake.
In an Instagram post, Ethel disowned the highly followed Twitter account (with at least 1.6 million followers), warning people that the said twitter account is fake.
On Tuesday, April 14, Ethel also posted a video on her YouTube channel addressing the burning issue about her and “her previous” twitter account.
The @IAmEthylGabison twitter account became popular for its witty and humorous take on socio-political issues which often ending with Ethel’s signature line, “Charot!”
It even gave birth to Ethel’s book published by Viva publishing, #CHAROTISM The Wit and Wisdom of Ethel Booba, which contained the funny and amusing tweets by the @IAmEthylGabison twitter account.
On many occasions, Ethel has acknowledged the Twitter account saying there is a team who discusses with her about what to post.
