To commemorate ABS-CBN’s Magandang Buhay’s 4th anniversary as well as to celebrate Daniel Padilla’s birthday, Kathryn Bernardo was supposed to be one of the online participants for the episode.
Unfortunately, Kathryn woke up on a Friday morning not feeling well enough to join in celebrating Daniel’s birthday on Magandang Buhay.
Kathryn’s mom Min Bernardo apologized to KathNiel’s fans and Magandang Buhay TV host via a Twitter post.
“To all the Momshies, to Magandang Buhay staff and to KathNiel fans who are excited for this guesting of Kath, we are very sorry if Kath wasn’t able to make it.”
In addition to that, Kathryn’s mom also shared that the Kapamilya actress was excited to celebrate Daniel’s birthday and be part of Magandang Buhay’s 4th anniversary. She hopes that KathNiel fans will still stay tuned even without Kathryn on the show.
Min Bernardo continued: “Kathryn was looking forward to celebrate DJ’s bday and Magandang Buhay’s 4th anniversary before this happened. Pasensya na po babawi po kami. To all the KathNiels, sana tutukan nyo pa din po episode tomorrow with DJ. Salamat po.”
To ease the worries of KathNiels especially during this trying time due to pandemic COVID-19 crisis, Min stated that Kathryn woke up with puffy eyes and suspected it was an allergy reaction.
“She is not feeling well when she woke up with puffy eyes this morning. I think this is due to an allergy.”

Moreover, even if Kathryn was not able to participate in today’s episode, Daniel gave a sweet message for his girlfriend and promised that he will always be there for his “Bal”
“Kay Kathryn, gusto ko siyang pasalamatan sa lahat nang paggabay sa akin, sa pagmamamahal na ibinibigay niya sa akin, sa suporta na ibinibigay niya sa akin, you know, my partner in life. Thank you at hindi ako nagkamali, never akong nagsisis sa desisyon na ginawa ko for you. And I’m always here for you Bal para suportahan ka rin sa lahat ng mga pangarap mong gawin. Pangako na mahalin ka sa mga panahon na malungkot ka o may pinagdadaanan ka. Wish ko para sa ating dalawa ay dumi-diretso na tayo hanggang sa katapusan.”
Daniel also revealed that being in a relationship with Kathryn for seven years has helped him to grow and be a better person. In line with this, Daniel emphasized one of the main reasons why they remain strong through the years is that, they respect and help each other.
He continued: “Natututo ako at nag-go-grow kami. Nag fi-feed kaming dalawa sa knowledge na mayroon kami. Nagtutulungan kaming dalawa. Talagang she makes me a better person. Isa sa pinaka importante ay ang respeto sa isa’t isa. Nirerespeto ko ang mga desisyon niya, nirerespeto niya ang mga desisyon ko. It’s a give and take, give and take ang relationship, hindi puwedeng umiikot sa isang tao, yun siguro yon.”
