Filipino Blogger Mocha Uson wants someone to be held accountable for spreading fake news about the DOH (Department of Health) who allegedly ordered East Medical Avenue Center to halt reports regarding COVID-19 deaths.
East Avenue Medical Center released an Official Statement saying that the hospital has not received any instructions either from the Department Of Health or the Local Government of Quezon City, to “stop or hold the census and reporting of deaths related to COVID-19.”
East Avenue Medical Center, a National Department Of Health Medical Center, further stated that they continue to record and report deaths related to COVID-19 to the Department of Health Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit.

This is in connection with Arnold Clavio’s exposè regarding the said hospital. Clavio also clarified that he has no twitter account and clearly not the one who spread the controversial fake news.
On his Instagram account, he pointed out one by one his arguments; (1) Why a certain physician and a frontliner’s mom, needed to post on their social media accounts that EAMC is “in dire need of cadaver bags” if there is no truth to the bodies piling up outside the hospital’s premises? (2) That particular Doctor personally wrote Senator Bong Go a letter requesting for cadaver bags? And (3) If there is really an actual report on the number of cases to DOH, why launch a probe? (4) If we truly consider our frontliners as our heroes, why do we tag them as liars?
Before posting, Clavio verified the information to be true claiming that he met and talked with three persons who are eyewitnesses themselves to the scenario.
Clavio was saddened that the truth is either twisted or deflected.
He further stressed that his name is not at stake here but the very lives of our frontliners asking for the truth to come out.

DOH Secretary Francisco Duque issued a statement regarding broadcast journalist Clavio’s post: “The DOH did NOT and will NEVER issue a directive for hospitals to conceal the number of COVID-19 deaths.
Clavio landed in the top spot on Twitter nationwide trending threads with 35.6K tweets as of posting.
As for Mocha Uson, it’s a bit hard for people to take anything she says about fake news seriously as she is known as the Queen of Fake News.
As a known purveyor of fake news, she shared the photo of a girl who was allegedly raped and murdered, to ask why there was no outrage from the human rights commission. It turned out the incident happened in Brazil. The post was later taken down.
In a post about the tax evasion case of Mighty Corp., Uson cited Article 263 of the Constitution. The 1987 Constitution has only 18 articles.
On November 18, 2016, Uson claimed to have received a message from a distraught parent accusing the school of “child abuse,” for forcing her daughter to join the rally. This was when the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos was given a hero’s burial, and St. Scholastica’s College students rallied in protest. Several parents denied the claim.
