When Viva Hotbabe turned public servant Jaycee Parker celebrated her birthday this year, she went for something a little different.
On her Facebook post, the Pangasinan councilor asked for relief goods as her birthday gifts.
She posted, “Hello, May! Every year I’m always excited when you arrive… May is ‘Flores de Mayo’ month, May is summer and May is my birth month… Yes, that’s right I’m turning 35 in exactly 11 sleep! May 12 is my birthdate.
“My birthday wish list this year: Bigas, Canned goods, Milk (bearbrand or Alaska), Milo, Noodles, Bread
“A few people know my birthday is coming up so they asked my ano gusto ko gift, sabi ko ung makakatulong sa ibang nangangailangan. At dahil bawal ang party, yung ipang hahanda ibibili ko din ng relief goods at isasabay ko sa pamimigay ng mga donations. Aayusin lang po namin at we will distribute it house to house (hahatid ko po personal) next week… (sa lahat po ng kausap ko paki antay lang po) salamat…
“And for my personal wish: Healing for everyone that is sick, Matapos na ang Covid19 pandemic, Baby, For our businesses to grow (all business), Peace of mind, Lose weight!!!!! (Eto talaga un eh), Bless our marriage and family, Unity, Good health and protection for all my family
“Lord, all things are possible through You!”
Her request for relief goods to be distributed to the needy was soon fulfilled as “gifts” poured in.
Even before posting her wishlist on her social media, Jaycee (who is also known as JC Parker Aguas) and her husband Jericho Aguas, tagged as Angeles’ City power couple, have been doing relief operations since the start of the enhanced community quarantine.
Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa also sent in his donations.
They also distributed fresh vegetables.
Since the Luzon-wide lockdown started, the power couple has given jeepney and trike drivers the help they needed. These couples are also seen roving around checkpoints and hospitals in the City to donate PPEs, face masks, and alcohol to frontliners.
