Kapamilya love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla seemingly dropped hints about their dream wedding.
On the new online show, I Feel U by ABS CBN and hosted by Toni and Alex Gonzaga, Kathryn and Daniel shared something about their relationship.
Kathyrn recounted the story of when she met Daniel for the first time on It’s Showtime, “Hindi pa kami formally introduced sa isa’t isa noon, so nagkita lang talaga. Sumasayaw pa si DJ noon. Kasama niya ‘yung ‘Gimik’ cast, tapos ako, kasama ko si John Manalo. ”
“Pero ‘yung formally na nag-meet kami, ‘yun na ‘yung kina-cast siya for ‘Growing Up.”
The two started their love team on ABS CBN weekend series Growing Up, Daniel then revealed that he secretly liked Kath then.
“Siyempre araw-araw mo kasama ‘yung tao. May hidden na akong pagtingin sa kanya. Eventually, you look forward sa every trabaho.
“Kapag pupunta ako sa trabaho, kasama na rin ‘yung ano kaya ang mangyayari today, ano naman kaya si Kathryn ngayon.”
Kathryn shared how DJ courted her the old fashioned way.
“Naramdaman ko ‘yun noong naging consistent siya sa pagpunta sa bahay,” she revealed. “Old school. Niligawan din niya si Mama. Tuloy-tuloy ‘yun, parang one year [din siyang nanligaw].”
Daniel didn’t just court her but Kathryn’s family as well, she then decided to say ‘yes’ after one year of courting.
“Naramdaman ko na sincere ‘yung tao then tinanong ko si Mama. Mukhang okay naman sa kanya, so sabi ko nag-’yes’ na ako.”
She also shared on how Daniel help her to fight her insecurities, “Lahat ng insecurities ko, lahat ‘yun tinatawanan niya lang. Sinasabi niya, ‘Bakit ganyan ka mag-isip? Hindi naman ‘yan big deal.’ Kung paano niya lang i-handle, naba-balance niya. Kung ako lang, magpapakalunod ako diyan.
“Siya ‘yung nagpa-realize sa akin kung paano i-handle ang ganyang bagay. Maganda ‘yung influence niya sa akin doon.”
The host then popped the question, when will their dream wedding be?
“Siguro 4 years to 5 years now,” Daniel answered.
Recently, in an interview with Kathryn in Magandang Buhay, she revealed that she and Daniel have the same stance when it comes to their dream wedding which would be at the beach.
“Over the years, parati ‘yung common talaga na isang lugar na nagpapasaya sa amin dagat. Pareho kami ng gusto ang wedding sa beach kasama ‘yung mga tao na naging parte o tumulong kung paano kami naging ganito ngayon,” Kathryn said.
In 2011, Kathryn had just come from her popular teleserye, Mara Clara, with Julia Montes and her former love team partner, Albie Casino.
After the series, Kathryn was paired with Daniel for a youth-oriented show, Growing Up. The following year, the two were again paired up for their first teleserye together—Princess and I.
For years, loyal Kathniel fans speculated that the two were in a relationship. After seven years of speculation, Kathniel finally broke their silence and confirmed the rumors of their real-life relationship.
In an interview for their film The Hows Of Us, DJ opened up about being in a relationship with Kath for five years.
