Furious netizens slammed Robin Padilla and the Philippine Army over his appointment as Philippine Army Communications Panel Chief.
Most netizens questioned Robin’s appointment due to his criminal record being an ex-convict and his qualifications to hold such a position he was appointed to.

Twitter user @istrayber meanwhile blasted the military for their decision to appoint Padilla saying the institution seemed going low with their standards.

Award-winning writer and twitter personality Ogie Rosa, on the other hand, blasted the disparity between an ordinary citizen and someone close to the admin when it comes to getting a job.

Padilla, a known die-hard Duterte supporter was selected as Committee Chairperson of the Communications panel of the Philippine Army’s Multi-Sectoral Advisory Board (MSAB) on July 30.
The MSAB’s is responsible for ensuring the proper dissemination of information on the Army’s operations both within the military and between them and the general public.
According to Army Spokespmasn, Col. Ramon Zagala, Robin’s role will allow him to help the military in their efforts to address the country’s problems with terrorism and violent extremism.
“We see him as a Muslim youth advocate, someone who can influence the Muslim youth… (and) veer them away from terrorism,” Zagala said
“To be fair to Robin, ayaw niya (sana). Sabi niya, ‘kung puwede, ‘wag na lang ako kasi, you know, there’s politics, people think I’m a supporter of the President,’” Zagala added.
