Miss Universe Philippines 2020 candidate from Manila, Alexandra Abdon has earned flak from netizens because of her insensitive comments about ‘Hipon Girl’.
Last December 18, in a guesting in Wowowin, the rudeness of Miss Manila was noticed by netizens. She and Willie Revillame criticized Hipon Girl’s outfit comparing it to her ‘dalagang Filipina’ outfit.
Then she was confronted by ‘Hipon Girl’ whom she allegedly criticized for being a ‘squatter’.
Instead of apologizing directly, Miss Manila kept on making insensitive comments about ‘Hipon Girl’ that triggered the viewers.
Student filmmaker @ItsACsLife expressed annoyance with Miss Manila’s behavior and uplifted ‘Hipon Girl’.

Meanwhile, in the same episode of Wowowin, Abdon apologized to Willie Revillame for not showing up as a scheduled guest.
A day after the said episode, Willie Revillame appealed to viewers not to bash Abdon. “Ikiclear ko lang si Hipon ho at si Miss Manila hindi ho magkaaway yon, nagkaayos na ho yon. Ganun lang naman nagkakabiruan sila. Kawawa naman si Miss Manila wag naman i-bash. Sa totoo lang mabait na bata. Nung kumakain kami tahimik siya,” he explained.
Miss Manila was liked by many because of her chill and comic personality. However, as she tries hard to be funny, she inadvertently puts down others to get a laugh.
