Parokya ni Edgar lead singer Chito Miranda has reacted to criticisms about K-Pop music.
In a social media exchange with a netizen, Chito questioned where does the hate towards K-Pop and its Pinoy fans are coming from.
Chito was responding to a netizen’s comment lambasting BTS and BLACKPINK fans saying it’s foolish to idolize the Korean stars instead of patronizing OPM.
In his response meanwhile, Chito said why the hate when we can just respect other people’s music preference.
“Ako trip ko sila. Sobrang galing kaya nila. Kung di mo sila trip, oks lang naman. Ang di ko magets is bakit ang laki ng galit mo sa mga may trip sa kanila hehe!” Chito said.
“Peace and respect lang parekoy. Kanya-kanyang trip lang yan,” he added.
In a separate social media post, Chito also asked why there are those who cannot respect the music trip of other people and are resorting to cursing and disrespecting others specifically the K-Pop fans.
“Bakit kayo galit sa trip ng iba? Kanya kanyang trip lang yan eh. ‘Wow! Di ko sila trip! Tan***a lahat ng may trip sa kanila.’ Ganun ba dapat? Di ba pwedeng iba trip nila sa trip mo tapos ok lang tayo lahat?”
Meanwhile, this was not the first time that Chito defended the K-Pop fans from the bashers.
Last year, Chito also came to the defense of K-Pop fans saying, “Kung apektado ka sa K-pop, then you are focusing on the wrong things. Ako trip na trip ko K-pop and walang masama tumangkilik ng K-pop.”
