Cong. Alan Peter Cayetano admits he feels hurt when Kapamilyas criticize him

In his recent press conference, Former House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano admitted that it hurts him when Kapamilya artists criticize him online.

“Kung sinasabi mong di naapektuhan, kasi syempre pag may post sya na masakit sa akin, masakit,” said Cayetano.

He then acknowledged that what he and Congress did to the network warrants criticisms from the Kapamilya network.

“Pero masakit din naman yung ginawa namin sa kanya… Kasi nga Kapamilya sya eh, so nung nawalan ng franchise di ko maalis sa kanya na may opinion sya,” said Cayetano.

Kapamilya stars such as Enchong Dee, Nikki Valdez, John Lapus, Vice Ganda, and Agot Isidro chided Cayetano when he presided over the Congress when it refused to renew the franchise of ABS-CBN.

Cayetano promised to help out the network. But instead, he spearheaded the persecution of ABS-CBN during its franchise hearing despite Congress’s inability to find any solid violations against the network. Then, it led them to refuse the renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise with 70 solons favoring the decision.

Now, with the change of leadership in Congress, under House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco, the hopes of renewing ABS-CBN’s franchise have been sparked anew.

Many believe that House Speaker Velasco can right the wrongs that the previous Congress leadership made against the media giant and its 11,000 employees.
