GMA Network assured its viewers this 2021 with top-notch programs to entertain everyone.
Kick-starting the line-up is actor Ken Chan, who has always portray hard-hitting roles.
In his upcoming drama series Ang Dalawang Ikaw with his onscreen love team Rita Daniela with the first exposure of Anna Vicente.
Chan didn’t even deny that this challenging role makes him nervous, especially that this series talks about mental health.
“I’ll be honest, kinakabahan talaga ako dito sa bagong teleserye naming ‘Ang Dalawang Ikaw.’ Kasi hindi po siya ganoon kadali, sobrang challenging po ng role na ibinigay sa akin.”
Ken plays Nelson‘s role, a man with a Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) or previously known as multiple personality disorder.
Next is the much-awaited romantic-comedy-drama series First Yaya starring Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez.
Lopez bagged the role for this series. Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera was the original choice.
The story revolves around a woman named Yaya Melody, who has the opportunity to live an extraordinary life as a Yaya for the children of the Philippine Vice-President.
After a successful run in September 2020–GMA’s drama anthology series I Can See You is back! More amazing weekly episodes of On My Way To You, #Future, The Lookout, Alter-NATE–will feature the brightest Kapuso stars.
Viewers can also watch out for the hard-hitting stories of revenge and jealousy in Las Hermanas starring Yasmien Kurdi, Faith da Silva, Jason Abalos, and Albert Martinez. Yes, Martinez is back to where he started.
Bringing competition to new heights is the musical talent show Sing for Hearts–is set to discover the next singing superstar love team and hosted by the real-life couples Mikael Daez and Megan Young.
For game and variety show fans, GMA will bring the original SBS to the archipelago with Running Man Philippines with various fun activities with its seven regular members and distinguished guests.
Likewise, the Network also offers Lam’Na, a game show set to legitimize popular media, debunk fake news, and dissect viral news.
A cultural drama series, Legal Wives–stars Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo in the lead role as Ishmael, a Maranaw Muslim royalty with three wives. Alice Dixson, Andrea Torres, and Bianca Umali play Trillo’s wives. It promises to bring light to Filipinos’ many colorful traditions.
Umali, the youngest leading lady among the three, can’t help but be excited about her new kind of role she is about to tackle, and especially in working with Trillo.
“Kasi parang napakaganda po nung role, napakalaki ng proyekto, and yung makatambal si kuya Dennis na isang beteranong aktor is a blessing for me, and I’m excited to start the experience.”
The story revolves around how Ishmael can keep his family together and bring his three wives into harmony despite their many differences in beliefs and upbringing.
Meanwhile, one of the acclaimed actresses of GMA Network, Glaiza de Castro, is back with a leading role in the television adaptation of the award-winning 1988 film Nagbabagang Luha, with Rayver Cruz and Mike Tan.
The actress stressed that she felt it is a great responsibility for her to act on par with Ms. Lorna Tolentino, who first breathed the role in the 1980 version of the film.
“S’yempre nandun ‘yung feeling na malaking responsibilidad kasi kahit papaano na-familiarize naman na kami doon sa pelikula at nakita namin ‘yung performances nila Ms. Lorna so parang, ‘Shocks kailangan talagang todohin.”
One of GMA Network’s awaited shows is Senator Bong Revilla‘s comeback in the action-packed family fantasy drama Agimat ng Agila with co-star Sanya Lopez, Roi Vinzon, Benjie Paras, Allen Dizon, Michelle Dee, and Elizabeth Oropesa.
After the success of the afternoon top-rating drama Prima Donnas, a second book is now in the works!
The team is currently preparing, according to director Gina Alajar, and the whole story is set to be completed soon.

The story is about a fashion socialite who’s shaken up after returning to her hometown in Sorsogon. Then she rediscovers her roots and rekindles her relationship with her family, community, and ex-lover.
Ruru Madrid and Shaira Diaz will be starring in the Lolong of GMA Public Affairs series. Inspired by the world’s largest crocodile in captivity of the same name–Lolong is set in the town of San Martin, where the people are in fear of a pervading monster.
Lastly, viewers can finally see Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos‘s first real-life TV crew in the Love You Stranger series.
It is about a young producer and film director who discovered past dark secrets while shooting a horror film.
