Should Kapuso viewers expect GTV’s ‘The Lost Recipe’ Book 2?

If there is, in fact, a Book 2, what will viewers expect? The Lost Recipe stars shared that they’re having a hard time letting go of their characters. Thus, if they’re given a chance to continue the series, they already envision what changes their characters will have.

It is no doubt that GTV’s banner series, The Lost Recipe, has captured the heart of the Kapuso viewers, but the series is now on its final week.

Should Kapuso viewers expect a Book 2 of The Lost Recipe? In a media conference of The Lost Recipe, actor Paul Salas said that they’re in the game if a Book 2 of The Lost Recipe will be proposed.

If there is, in fact, a Book 2, what will viewers expect? The Lost Recipe stars shared that they’re having a hard time letting go of their characters.

Thus, if they’re given a chance to continue the series, they already envision what changes their characters will have.

For Paul Salas, he hopes that his character will finally accept that Apple (played by Mikee Quintos) is not for him, “Siguro baka tatangapin niya na si Apple ay para kay Harvey baka pwedeng magkakilala sila ni Ginger or anything siguro.”

For lead actress Mikee Quintos, she hopes her character, Apple, will finally have ample time of happy moments with Harvey (played by Kevin Miranda), most especially that the series will finally come to an end.

“Para kay Apple naman mas matagal naman ‘yung happy moments ni Harvey and apple kase ambilis na udlot, nag babago ‘yung timeline parang one week na lang sana mas ma meet pa ‘yung love story happy moments nila together,” she said.

Kelvin Miranda, on the other hand, wants to prove that his character Harvey has learned a lot of realizations from the time-traveling that he made from past to present.

“Sa character ko naman po, kung sakali naman mag kaka Book 2 gusto kong maipakita sa mga manonood mga naging realizations ni Harvey kase sobrang dami niyang natutunan mula past and present dahil andami niyang nakita at nabago niya ang timelines,” he said.

Lastly, Thea Tolentino hopes that her character can finally be independent and not be controlled by her mother’s decisions.

‘The Lost Recipe’ doesn’t seem to be enough for viewers and networkers as Mikee Quintos and Kelvin Miranda’s fantasy-romance series is officially the highest-rated program on GTV in 2021.

When The Lost Recipe stars were asked if they also expect a Book 2, Kelvin Miranda said that even though they badly want it, and it all depends on GMA executives.

As of now, The Lost Recipe is on its last week in GTV. Viewers and network members are hooked on Harvey’s story, with some already calling for a pilot week marathon recap and complete episodes as fast as possible to be online.

It is also a constant subject in the top trend during Twitter Philippines during its first three days of broadcasting. The Lost Recipe not only led to the increased viewing of GTV’s primetime block but also to the Top 20 Urban Phils overall (based on Nielsen NUTAM overnight data).
