The clock ticks louder and faster, as the historic 15th season of Pinoy Big Brother finally comes to a close. And now that the Final Big Four is announced, who will ultimately wear the highly-coveted crown?
On March 10, 2021, during the live telecast of PBB Connect, Big Brother finally unveiled his Big 4: Liofer Pinatacan of Zamboanga del Sur, Jie-Ann Romero of Sarangani, Andrea Abaya of Parañaque, and Kobie Brown, who also hails from Parañaque.
The announcement came after the conclusion of the grueling three-way battles, the first one between the challenger, Ralph Malibunas, and Big 4 housemates, Kobie Brown and Andrea Abaya. Second, being between the challenger, Amanda Zamora, and Big 4 housemates, Liofer Pinatacan, and Jie-Ann Romero. Ultimately, both Amanda and Ralph failed to rank No.1 in their respective battles, by which they were eliminated from the competition.
Excitement and expectations are mounting for the incoming Big Night, which will take place on Sunday, March 14. The season marks the fifth time both adults and teen housemates are made to live together, and as members of the same batch. Eighteen housemates, in total, participated for this season, which would have run for a total of 99 days on Sunday, making PBB Connect one of the regular seasons with the shortest number of days.
Among the four housemates, only Brown was nominated for eviction, at least once, while the three Big 4 members, never made it to the nominees’ list, making predicting who will emerge as the voters’ favorite extremely hard. It is interesting to note, however, that Brown and Abaya are being shipped together by fans, and are constant conversation-drivers in social media. It remains to be seen whether Liofer’s being the top choice by his fellow housemates to win this season, reflects his fan support outside the house. Similarly, Jie-Ann’s exclusion from all nominees’ lists, makes it hard to predict her placement among the housemates, in terms of public support.
Should Andrea Abaya or Jie-Ann Romero emerge victoriously, PBB Connect will crown its ninth female big winner, while with either Liofer or Kobie, its eighth male big winner. (Note that PBB 737 declared two winners, namely Miho Nashida, and Jimboy Martin).
