Kapuso rom-com First Yaya maintains its lead in weekday programming nationwide.
In the recent rating, AGB showed that the Sanya Lopez and Gabby Concepcion-starrer has remained on top of the rating board–from April 5 to 9.
The series made an upward trend for the week and earned as high as 22.9% on Thursday and Friday.
On Monday, April 5–First Yaya scored 20.6% beating its rival with an 11.3% lead. While on Tuesday, April 6–it registered a rating of 21.5%, getting a 0.9% increase from its previous rating. On Wednesday, it further increased to 21.6% and ending the week with 22.9% both for Thursday and Friday.
First Yaya‘s rating lead takes advantage of the absence of its biggest competitor ABS-CBN. The Kapuso network’s wider reach from its 52 analog and six digital TV stations– the show can reach a wider audience.
Meanwhile, for the week, First Yaya features Melody‘s (Sanya Lopez) make-over transformation, which wowed President Acosta and other politicians. However, her brewing closeness to the President gets the ire of the President’s mother Blesilda (Pilar Pilapil); and perceives her as having some ulterior motive and is just using her son for her advantage.
