Kapuso star Benjamin Alves replaced Rocco Nacino for his role in GMA-7’s upcoming afternoon prime series, Artikulo 247.
On Monday, June 7, Alves posted on his Instagram story a screenshot of his virtual story conference for Artikulo 247.
“Excited to be working with this team for the first time,” he wrote.
Some of the participants of the virtual conference were Rhian Ramos, Mark Herras, and Jackie Rice who are all part of the upcoming series.
Initially, Nacino was a part of the cast of Artikulo 247, but he was later pulled out to be a part of another Kapuso series To Have and To Hold.
Derek Ramsay was supposed to star in To Have and To Hold, but the actor backed out causing the GMA network to choose Nacino as the replacement.
This is the second time that Alves replaced Nacino in an afternoon series. The first time was back in 2019 for the series Dahil sa Pag-ibig starring Sanya Lopez.
Nacino was also pulled out back then to star in another Kapuso series, which was the Philippine adaptation of Descendants of the Sun.
Both Alves and Nacino have worked on the same project before.
They previously worked together in the recently concluded series Owe My Love where Alves was the main cast and Nacino came as a guest star.
Artikulo 247 is a legal drama that is a part of GMA Network’s nearly 100 new TV programs for 2021.
