“I’m so happy just because, honestly kung ‘di dahil sa GMA. wala ako dito sa posisyon ko now. I couldn’t be where I am today.”
An overwhelmed Max Collins said during a virtual media conference after signing her contract renewal with GMA Network today, July 9.
The movie and TV star has already spent ten years with the Kapuso Network. She is now starting a new decade with them.
“Knowing that a decade has passed by, I’m starting a new decade as a mother, as a wife, as an actress. I just feel so privileged,” said the actress.
Collins felt that way since, according to her, “Not everyone gets the opportunities.”
“I’ve just been so blessed throughout my career because of GMA.”
Celebrating her 10-years as a Kapuso, Collins admitted that there were a lot of hardships in her career. However, GMA Network helped her by giving the actress good projects to hone her acting skills.
“There has been a lot of ups and downs for me. Kasi I didn’t know where I was going in my career, to be honest.
“But I’m just so thankful na GMA always gave me good projects. Even if I didn’t believe in myself, GMA still believed in me.”
Also, the actress revealed how the Network rewards those who remain loyal to them.
“The beauty also of GMA is kapag loyal ka sa GMA, they will always be loyal to their people as well. They never stopped giving me amazing projects,” she revealed.
Collins, who has spent 10 years as a Kapuso, was happy that GMA Network continues to value her as one of their artists by giving her wonderful projects, with the most recent, being To Have and To Hold.
“That is why I’m so happy starting “To Have and To Hold” after my contract signing. So maganda talaga ang timing,” she added.
Furthermore, after a decade, the actress felt that this is her prime as an artist. Collins then expressed how excited she is for more projects as a Kapuso.
“And so it’s been such an amazing ride. Kasi I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for GMA. And I feel like this is the best time that I’m having now in my career, it really is my prime. I’m just looking to doing more and more projects this next decade with GMA.”
In the meantime, the actress is about to return doing locked-in tapings for her upcoming teleserye, To Have and To Hold. The series will also showcase the first-ever pairing of Collins and Kapuso star Rocco Nacino.
