Singer and TV host Christian Bautista, known for his impressive singing skills, also did acting projects under his belt, such as My Love from the Stars.
Now that he renewed his contract with GMA Network, does this mean he will try acting again?
In Bautista’s interview for his contract renewal, he said, “Pero sure, yeah, let’s go back to acting.”
He then added that he has an upcoming project with Julie Anne San Jose.
“‘Still’ is actually acting from Viu as well. And hopefully, that will bring fruit to other projects as well.”
In terms of possible GMA Drama series, Bautista replied, “As for GMA Drama series, I am always ready for any opportunity that they give me.”
Aside from his acting projects, Christian also teased his upcoming album release.
“Happy to report na you will receive one at either end of this year, next year, or the end of next year. It is in the works. I’m very excited to be back in the studio. I am very /excited about the collaborations as well.”
Aside from his contract renewal with GMA Network, he also inked his contract with Universal Records earlier this year.
Bautista began his career in 2003 as the first grand finalist on ABS-CBN’s reality singing competition, Star in a Million (2003–2004). He popularized songs like Hands To Heaven and The Way You Look at Me. He also became popular in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Alongside Filipina singer Karylle, he was also a part of the theatrical cast of West Side Story in 2008. He also joined the cast of a musical drama series, Kitchen Musical, with Karylle, Thou Reyes, Art Acuna in 2011-2012.
He did these productions: The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe (2002), Joseph The Dreamer (2002), West Side Story (2008), Rama Hari (2012), Cinderella (2013), and Ghost: The Musical (2014).
Bautista transferred to GMA Network in 2013. From there, He starred in teleseryes such as With A Smile and My Love From the Stars. He performed and hosted Party Pilipinas, Sunday All-Stars, and All-Out Sundays.
His most recent endeavor is becoming a judge in the GMA Network’s reality singing competition, The Clash.
