Seoul, Korea – July 2021 Dreamcatcher’s much anticipated Special Mini Album ‘[Summer Holiday]’ is now out via Sony Music Entertainment Korea. Following their EP ‘[Dystopia : Road to Utopia]’, Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart topping seven-membered K-Pop girl group brings yet another thrilling music for the summer. Comprised of six tracks in total, ‘[Summer Holiday]’ presents a love story unique to Dreamcatcher filled with themes of love, obsession, and summer nights.
The mini album first opens with the “Intro” track that begins a new chapter to Dreamcatcher’s journey through ‘[Summer Holiday]’. It is then followed up by “BEcause”, the main track of the mini album that expresses the obsession to win and claim love. This track will sonically capture the listeners with its melody that combines string pizzicato and voices that create an eerie atmosphere, defining Dreamcatcher’s refreshing elements but with a touch of horror. The mood switches up with distortion guitar and synth sound in “Airplane” with its relatable story of wanting to travel across the world. Then, comes the track “Whistle” with its addicting melody and rhythmical guitar tunes that make one envision the summer nights filled with dazzling stars, while “Alldaylong” is a city pop track containing the emotions felt from spending the day with a loved one. The mini album finally ends with the ballad track “A Heart of Sunflower” with reference to the meaning of sunflowers that symbolize love and loyalty.

K-Pop group has been slowly but steadily hitting one milestone after another. Dreamcatcher is known as the first female K-Pop group to top the Billboard Next Big Sound chart, while also demonstrating various major achievements of ranking No. 5 on the Billboard World Albums chart for their EP ‘Prequel’, and No.7 on the same chart for ‘Nightmare – Escape The ERA’.
