Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo admitted that he almost rejected the lead role offer in the upcoming teleserye Legal Wives because he thought it would be heavy.
After his challenging role in the GMA Network action-drama series Cain at Abel, Dennis wished to have a lighter project after it. So, when Legal Wives was offered to him, he was hesitant at first.
“Ineexpect ko na makuhang show, yung light lang, parang romcom na style, ganun yung ineexpect ko and ganun sana yung nirequest ko dahil nga siguro napagod ako sa dati.
“So, medyo nagduda ko hindi dahil sa potential ng show, kung hindi baka hindi ko kayanin dahil medyo mabigat yung role.”
But when he tried to understand the project’s story, he realized that he can do it and should not waste the opportunity to be part of it.
Dennis pointed out the powerful story of Legal Wives and assured the viewers that they wouldl learn many lessons from it.
Legal Wives is one of the highly-anticipated upcoming teleseryes of the GMA Network as it will be the first Muslim-themed series on TV.
It is about a Muslim man, played by Dennis, who will be having multiple partners, who are played by Bianca Umali, Andrea Torres, and Alice Dixson.
Legal Wives will kick off on free TV starting July 26.
