On November 10, Kapamilya artists Paulo Avelino and Janine Gutierrez reacted to Marry Me Marry You receiving Kapuso support.
During the media conference for the second season of Marry Me Marry You, Avelino said it does not matter whether their viewers are from different networks while echoing ABS-CBN’s motto.
“Parang ang ABS-CBN, parang in the service of the Filipino people, parang akin, di naman po nagma-matter kung Kapamilya, Kapuso, Kapatid, or kung Korea-novela or ‘yung Hollywood movies ‘yung trip mo.”
He also noted their show is for Filipinos anywhere in the world.
“As long as you’re a Filipino anywhere in the world, parang hindi naman po, masamang panoorin kami at tangkilikin ang programa ng mga istasyon na iba sa kinalalagayan mo.”
As for Gutierrez, she thanked the support their show is receiving from the Kapuso network.
“Sobrang grateful po ako sa mga Kapuso, and katulad nga po ng sinabi ni Pau, sa lahat ng Filipino na nagbibigay ng panahon para panoorin ‘yung show namin.”
She then noted that everyone could relate to the core value of their series.
“I think ‘yung kwento naman talaga at lalo na ‘yung mga character makakarelate ka eh. So, I’m happy na nakaka-touch tayo ng mga iba-ibang buhay. Kaya thank you sa mga nanonood.”
