Pokwang or Marietta Subong shared the secret behind her blessings amid the pandemic.
During an exclusive interview with RAWR Nation, Pokwang credited her consistent number of projects to prayers.
“Dasal, wala ng mas pa-power pa doon.
“Kasi ang dami ko ding pinagdaanan. Nawalan tayo–maraming nawalan ng trabaho because of this pandemic.
“So iba talaga ‘yung nagawa ng dasal.”
She then expressed her gratitude to the people who helped her get more projects despite ABS-CBN’s shutdown and the pandemic.
After the ABS-CBN shutdown, Pokwang worked on several projects with TV5, such as Fill in The Bank and Chika BESH.
In June 2021, Pokwang transferred to GMA Network and signed a three-year contract with GMA Artist Center. However, before her transfer, she was with ABS-CBN since 2004 after winning Clown in a Million.
After her transfer, she has worked and guested in multiple shows such as Dear Uge, Magpakailanman, and Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko.
Pokwang’s cooking show, Kusina ni Mamang, is on the first 24-hour comedy channel BuKo, every Saturday 8 pm on Cignal TV and SatLite TV. She hosts the program alongside radio DJ Jhai Ho. They highlight traditional dishes with special celebrity guests each episode.
