On December 3, Kapamilya artist Belle Mariano shared the creative process behind her songs from her debut album Daylight.
During the listening party to Mariano’s Daylight album, Mariano said she talked personally and virtually to the songwriters involved in her debut album.
“Some of the composers na-meet ko talaga sila personally, and also na-meet ko some of them virtually and before naman po kumanta, before ko naman po awitin ‘yung songs, na-discuss sa akin ni sir Rox [Santos] kung anong theme, message ng mga songs na kakantahin ko.”
As for the song she relates the most, Mariano compared ‘Rise’ to her journey as an artist.
“I feel like, sobrang grabe talaga naka-relate ako sa Rise kasi it’s also my journey. Not just me, it also applies to every one of us. We are all on the rise. We are just trying to get by each and every day, trying to look for hope, trying to get that inspiration.
“All throughout my years here in showbiz, I feel like each and every step I take–rising.”
Mariano also expressed her happiness with the opportunities she received with her breakout role in ‘He’s Into Her.’
“Ngayon pa lang po talaga nagsi-sink in sa akin. I’m just so glad honestly to be given this opportunity, sobrang natutuwa ako kasi tagal ko na pong pinapangarap ‘to.”
Mariano released her debut album Daylight with songs such as Sigurado, With You (by Majarlika), Tanging Dahilan (by Gabriel Tagadtad), Nights of December (by Alexis Tagadtad), Rainy Days (by SAB), For Your Eyes Only (by Trisha Denise), and Rise (by Jayda) to all digital streaming platforms.
Aside from the album release, the Kapamilya star also headlines her first major virtual concert, produced by ABS-CBN Events and Star Pop, on January 29, 2022.
