Ashley Ortega and Pauline Mendoza, two of GMA Network’s stars groomed to be its next batch of leading ladies, lead in a series of director Jerry Lopez Sineneng titled Widow’s Web.
A story conference of the series was held on Thursday, December 2, with the presence of its lead stars.
The series will serve as a big break to Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega. She received praises for portraying her as a villain in the recently concluded Legal Wives. She is also known for her roles in Dormitoryo and My Destiny on GMA Network.
Meanwhile, Mendoza got her break in the afternoon series Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat. She is also known for her various roles in Little Nanay, That’s My Amboy, My Love from the Star, and Kambal, Karibal as Crisel.
Widow’s Web is expected to be the biggest showbiz break of Ortega and Mendoza.
Aside from them, Carmina Villaroel is also one of Widow’s Web lead stars. The cast is now occupied on their bubble taping.
Also part of Widows’ Web are Vaness del Moral, Adrian Alandy, Arthur Solinap, Dave Bornea, EA Guzman, Allan Paule, Vanessa Peña, Anjay Anson, and Karenina Haniel.
Widows‘ Web is the first directorial project of the longtime ABS-CBN director who signed up with GMA Network in November 2021. Sineneng is known for his works Soltera (1999), La luna Sangre (2017) and Walang Hanggan (2012). The director has been known for launching several actors to stardom.
