On Tuesday, December 7, Congressman Mike Defensor has urged supporters of ABS-CBN to stop hating presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
In his YouTube show, Tune In with Ka Tunying, Anthony Taberna interviewed Defensor and asked the fate of ABS-CBN if Marcos won the presidential race.
According to Defensor, BBM would help the Network since he was a “healing president.”
“As for BBM, sinabi naman niya eh, ‘I am for a healing presidency and I would like everyone to help out.'”
He then urged the supporters of ABS-CBN to refrain from bashing the presidential candidate, who he thinks, could win in the upcoming 2022 elections.
Defensor also said he would help the Network if ever he becomes the next Quezon City mayor, saying he was not against ABS-CBN ever since.
In fact, I have been clear about that and sinabi ko pa kay Mister Karlo Katigbak.
“Sabi ko, ‘Karlo, alam mo ngayon lang tayo nag-meet pero I really appreciate you.’ Dahil mabait naman si Karlo eh.”
Defensor stressed that BBM did not retaliate from the criticisms and deserved a second chance from the public.
“I think he should be judged as to what he has done in the past.
Wala eh. So ‘yon palang malinaw na ‘yong pagkatao nitong taong ‘to eh.
Defensor is running against incumbent Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte in the upcoming 2022 elections for mayorship.
He also helped the Duterte Government shut down ABS-CBN in 2020 and 69 other members of Congress who denied the Network of its franchise.
