Korina Sanchez changed her Instagram post after getting flak from netizens on Sunday, January 9.
In a now-deleted post, the veteran broadcaster captioned her swimsuit photo: “IMAGINE. Lahat nagka covid na. Ako never pa. And Im ALL OVER. Thank you, Lord. Sadya akong pinagpala kase dami ko tinutulungan?”
Many netizens commented that her statement was “insensitive” especially now that the country is experiencing a spike in COVID-19 cases.
After receiving hateful comments, Sanchez immediately edited her post.
She said, “IMAGINE. Lahat nagka covid na. Ako never pa. And Im ALL OVER. Thank you, Lord. Sadya akong pinagpala kase baka nakakatulong yung may natutulungan din? Please bless and heal all those infected.”
On Monday, January 10, Sanchez updated her status again on Instagram. She thanked the Lord for not getting positive with COVID-19.
She wrote, “Thank you Lord. So many sick and infected. Ive never been positive—- even as Im all over for work I have to do.
“Frontliner pa ako ngayon sa househelp and driver ko. Help me help others through this pandemic. Kaya natin ito.”

In the comment section of her post, Sanchez explained that she miscalculated her words in her previous post.
Sanchez wrote, “Miscalculation of words in caption. This is what I meant.”
Content creator Ate Dick was among those who reacted to Sanchez’s Instagram post.
“KAYA KAYO TUMULONG KAYO KUNG AYAW NIYO MAGKACOVID”, she said in her Instagram Stories posted on Sunday, January 9.
In another post, Ate Dick said, “Tone deaf naman po Ms Korina.”
Sanchez responded to this statement by saying, “Talaga ba? Nagpasalamat lang na di pa na covid tone deaf na? Baka ikaw? [thumbs down emoji]”
