Kapuso prime actor Dingdong Dantes is said to replace Willie Revillame’s timeslot soon.
According to an article by Ricky Calderon on NewsKo, Dantes is set to host a new season of Family Feud, which will be aired on the timeslot vacated by Wowowin.
Wowowin aired its final episode after Revillame decided not to renew his contract with GMA Network due to conflict of interest since he was being eyed to play a role in Manny Villar’s Advance Media Broadcasting System (AMBS).
Meanwhile, Calderon added that the GMA Network’s 2022 version of Family Feud will be aired sometime in March with Dantes as its main host.
This was not the first time that Dantes will host the classic syndicated game show.
In 2009, he was also the host of GMA’s Family Feud which aired in the same timeslot that it’s supposed to air this year.
Family Feud originally aired on TV5 in 2001 with Ogie Alcasid as host.
In 2008 it transferred to GMA Network with Richard Gomez as host until 2009. Dingdong Dantes took over in 2009 until 2010 and Edu Manzano hosted the game show on GMA Network in 2011.
In 2016, Family Feud went to ABS-CBN with Luis Manzano as its host.
