In 2022, Mekeni forges forward with a fresh vision, but only to remain committed to delivering what’s best for the Filipino family.
“Welcoming 2022 with new branding signals a new era for us at Mekeni. We wanted to send a clear message that we are evolving, innovating, and growing with our customers” Mekeni President Prudencio S. Garcia said, adding “…we want to assure our customers of the quality and taste that we bring to the table reflected throughout this new brand experience we have created” putting stress on their goal to level up that ‘Timplang Atin’ experience to keep with their customers’ changing needs.
Mekeni is adapting a bold and vivid new look for its packaging, which results in a stronger brand image customers will easily root for. Appetizing colors are used to create a more inviting visual identity, and thus put Mekeni products under the spotlight and make them hard to miss for old and new customers alike.
The packaging reboot marks the beginning of new product lines, which are Mekeni Gold, Mekeni Specials, Mekeni Suki Choice, and Mekeni GoLite, with each comprising well-loved and soon-to-be-loved Mekeni products.
Mekeni Gold consists of products made from premium-quality meat and other ingredients. Bannering this line of products is the Mekeni Gold Premium Ham, which is available in five variants. Also headlining for this group is the Garlic Longganisa made of premium-quality pork and spices. Mekeni Specials, on the other hand, are great tasting specialty brands to cater to Filipino families who long for memorable and well-shared meals, every day. Products like the all-time-favorite Skinless Longganisa, Tapa, Sisig, and Sweet Ham make up this incredible product line.
Mekeni Suki Choice responds to Filipino family’s need for budget-friendly but satisfying meals. These are the products anybody can afford to bring to their dining table any time of the day, without crushing your limited daily budget. Sliced bologna, all-day bacon, and luncheon meat comprise this line. Last but definitely not the least, is the Mekeni GoLite group, which primarily caters to health and figure-conscious consumers. On carrying out this rebranding in 2022, “…we wanted to show a more cohesive look and feel through the brand refresh. We also aimed to highlight that though we have preferences, there is a Timplang Atin favorite from Mekeni to satisfy that,” Garcia said in a statement.
A part of this rebranding includes the launch of a new company jingle that loyal customers can sing and dance to. The #Mymekeni music video is a part of the company’s affirmation of its commitment to bringing world-class quality and flavor to the Filipino dining table. The 2-minute aggressively danceable jingle seems to remind the Filipino consumers why Mekeni remains today as the top choice when it comes to homegrown family brands.
