The first GMA Network suspenserye Artikulo 247 fluctuates in the #9 and #10 spots of the rating chart with more than 6.0% ratings during its pilot week.
On March 7, Artikulo 247 premiered on GMA Network’s Afternoon Prime lineup with a 6.1% pilot rating, ranking 9th in the rating chart.
It trended on twitter during its pilot airing and ranked as the #5 most-trending topic that day.
The following day, it improved its rating to 6.5% but remained in the #9 spot.
On March 9, Artikulo 247 is still in the 9th ranking but its rating improved to 6.9%.
On March 10, it dropped to the 10th spot and with a 6.5% rating.
It ended its pilot week in the 9th spot with a 6.7%.
Its rival Kapamilya and TV5 programs failed to enter the Top 20 rating chart.
Artikulo 247 replaced Ang Lihim Ni Annasandra which ended on on March 4 with a 7.4% rating, ranking 7th.
The suspenserye failed to sustain the rating of its predecessor. But, it surpassed Ang Lihim Ni Annasandra‘s pilot week performance.
Ang Lihim Ni Annasandra earned below 6.0% ratings during its entire pilot week, while Artikulo 247 maintained more than that mark.
Artikulo 247 stars Rhian Ramos and Kris Bernal as Jane Ortega-Borromeo and Klaire Almazan/Carmen Villarama, respectively. It also includes Benjamin Alves as Noah Borromeo, Mark Herras as Elijah Borromeo, Mike Tan as Julian Pineda, Glydel Mercado as Rose Ortega, and Victor Silayan as Alfred Almazan.
Jane Ortega is a career woman who had an affair with her employer, Alfred (Jome), who is married to Klaire Almazan (Kris). Klaire caught the two in bed one night and, in a fit of rage, killed her husband. Klaire is sentenced to destierro, or banishment, under Article 247.
She reappears in the form of Carmen Villarama years later. She sets out to torment Jane, who, spurred by vengeance, tries to start again and pick up the pieces with Noah Borromeo (Benjamin Alves). Noah’s brother, Elijah Borromeo (Mark), falls in love with Carmen, on the other hand.
