ANC host Karmina Constantino, on Thursday, March 3, expressed her gratitude for the support she received after her interview with presidential aspirant Jose Montemayor became viral.
She tweeted, “Moving on… thank you for all the support! I only did what anyone of you would’ve done if put in the same situation.”

During the recently held CNN presidential debate, Montemayor claimed that Manila Mayor Isko Moreno got backed by American billionaire Bill Gates.
He even said he had the evidence to prove it.
Constantino, in an interview on March 1, brought up the accusation. She tried to provide a venue for the presidential bet to expound on his claim.
“Doctor Montemayor you said that it was all over the papers, but now you are telling us that sources have told you about this. Which one should we believe?” she asked.
This led to the candidate reaching a conclusion that media outlets may have been bribed as well.
“Well, if you would just research, especially if you’re in the media, you should have known better, unless Isko Moreno paid ANC and ABS-CBN,” he responded.
The broadcast journalist then halted him.
“I’m sorry, I’m not going to let that pass. Doctor Montemayor, we are not in the business of getting paid. I am personally insulted by that insinuation. We can go on with this interview, we can leave this topic aside and move on, but let me tell you, this is not an insinuation that I will take lightly.
“This company is not in the business of getting paid. This journalist has never been—or ever will be—paid by anyone to ask or not to ask questions,” stressed Constantino.
She then asked how would Montemayor lead the country if he is a purveyor of fake news, to which the doctor replied: “Is that a personal question?”
Constantino replied, “It’s a question.”
The viral interaction even drew comparisons between her TV colleagues. In 2021, CNN anchor Pinky Webb hair-flipped then-presidential spokesperson Harry Roque during an interview.
