On Monday, March 28, Ana Jalandoni admitted she is still in love with Kit Thompson despite being abused by him.
In a press conference at Quezon City accompanied by her father, older sister, and legal counsel, Jalandoni said, “Ma-mahal ko pa rin siya. Hindi po ‘yon ganoon kadali mawala. Pero s’yempre ho hindi ko deserve ang nangyari sa akin.”
She added, “Importante po sa akin ay ang ipaglaban ko ang karapatan ko bilang babae na hindi katanggap-tanggap ang nangyari sa akin.”
Jalandoni further stated that she is willing to forgive her boyfriend “but he has to face the consequences of his actions.”
“Kaya nga po namin fina-file yung case kasi doon namin idadaan ang galit ko, sa tamang proseso po. Pero bilang tao po, alam ko na maraming nakakagawa ng hindi maganda dahil sa emotions and everything. Pero tao rin ho ako eh. Marunong rin akong magpatawad pero may consequence po lahat ng ginagawa natin kapag gumagawa tayo ng mali.”
Aside from the complaint filed with the Philippine National Police (PNP) filed against Kit on March 19, she will be filing two additional cases against him: frustrated homicide and illegal detention.
Authorities rescued Jalandoni on March 18 after her friends alerted them that she may be in danger. The actor was then released after posting bail.
“Kit, fix yourself. Fix yourself,” was her message to Thompson.
