On May 14, Kapamilya love team KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad (KDLex) revealed what was stopping them from leveling up their relationship.
At the media conference for Run To Me, KD noted that it was too soon for them to be in a relationship.
“I think, for us we want to give it time because we just left PBB ilang months ba?
“Super recent lang din kami, we want to give this time. We do see each other–we see each other as partner material talaga. Pwedeng long term like ganyan.”
He also cited their busy schedules and career after exiting the Pinoy Big Brother house, adding that they wanted to take things slow.
“But for now, especially with our really /busy careers (and) very/ busy schedules, we don’t want to put a label na ipapaproblema pa namin ‘yun.
“It’s going to be a bit more high maintenance like that’s what I would say. But you know I don’t mind maintaining you (Alexa). But as of now we want to take it slow.”
Alexa added that it wasn’t ‘smart’ for them to add the pressure of having a relationship to their career as a love team.
“That’s what I actually told him nung sa umpisa, sabi ko, ‘I don’t think it would be smart–it wouldn’t be a smart move to add pressure to whatever’s happening now.’ Especially sabi nga po we just got out of PBB, we are receiving blessings after blessings, something that we are so thankful for.”
She also noted that they want to enjoy what they have now, citing that the love and care for each other were there.
“We are currently so overwhelmed, so sabi ko, let’s enjoy muna lahat ng ito. The love is there, the care is there, di naman kailangan mawala eh. But I don’t think it would be smart to add pressure to that or to add a label na in a relationship. And ayun nga, it’s been only a few months, so pahirapan ko muna ng kaunti.”
As for their series, Estrada and Ilacad stars in the Kapamilya digital series Run To Me. Joining them are Nikki Valdez , Malou Crisologo. CJ Navato, Karl Gabriel, Ivan Carapiet, Margaux Montana, Henz Villaraiz, Alexa Macanan, Matty Juniosa, and Sean Tristan.
The series, directed by Dwein Baltazar, streams on Kumu on May 20 and via iWantTFC on May 21.
