Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia will be reunited for a new movie project.
On May 18, on Boy Abunda’s YouTube channel, Barretto revealed she would work again with Garcia.
“I want to do films [this year]. I am going to be doing a movie also with Josh under Black Sheep this year,” Barretto said.
Barretto shared how she always reminded Garcia not to be in a relationship yet.
“Ako tinatanong ko, ‘How are you? May girlfriend ka na ba? Huwag ka munang mag-girlfriend.
“Sabi niya sa akin, ‘Bakit ba ayaw mo akong magka-girlfriend?’ Sabi ko, ‘Basta huwag ka munang mag-girlfriend. Enjoy this. Enjoy what you have now.’ He’s young. He’s in his prime. He’s a brilliant actor. It’s not the time to be limited right now,” Barretto stated.
Barretto revealed that she appreciates Garcia for respecting Gerald Anderson, her current boyfriend.
“I think one of the things that I really appreciate about him is he respects Ge a lot. That says a lot about Josh as well and how much he’s grown and matured. He respects Ge, and that means a lot to me.”
Garcia and Barretto have starred together in a teleserye and various films: Vince and Kath and James (2016), Love You to the Stars and Back (2017), Unexpectedly Yours (2017), I Love You, Hater (2018), James and Pat and Dave (2020), and Block Z (2020).
In 2017, Garcia and Barretto started dating. In June 2019, the two confirmed that they had ended their relationship.
