JM De Guzman returns to “MMK” and portrays the role of Mel, a miner who seeks justice for himself and his fellow miners in the two-part Father’s Day special of MMK starting this Saturday (June 11).
JM shared that he learned a lot of things about his character in the show. Like Mel, JM also said that he would not give up his principles and would fight for them.
“There are times that you know the right thing to do in a certain matter, but others push you to do the wrong thing since its easier. But you won’t do it and still do the right thing,” he said.
In the episode, viewers will get to know Mel, a virtuous and kindhearted leader in the mining company he works for. Throughout his life, all he wanted was to give his family a better life.
One day, he learned about the unfair practices of the company. He and his fellow miners filed a labor case against his employer. Even though he knew that it would take long, he did not give up and persuaded his co-workers to fight for their rights. See if they were able to get the justice they deserved and find out the other challenges Mel faced in his life.
