On Thursday, July 7, GMA Network made waves on Twitter as netizens used their #LolongDaks to create the liveliest remarks for the Kapuso series Lolong.

The Kapuso Network has been known to come up with trendy hashtags like Beautiful Justice‘s #BJOneMillion and #BJDeepTruthUncovered.

“Daks” is the slang term Filipinos use to describe something big. In the case of the show that stars Ruru Madrid, Shaira Diaz, and Arra San Agustin, the meaning might have been taken a little bit further.

In episode 3 of Lolong, the henchman of Kapitana Dolores (Maui Taylor) tried to hurt Lolong (Madrid) by shooting at Dakila.

GMA Network on Twitter used #LolongDaks and a netizen caught the Lolong star “smiling” after being called “daks.”

Another had a snippet of Karina (Rochelle Pangilinan) as if she was shocked to see something huge.

Netizens even said, “We love it” as she uses the hashtag #LolongDaks.

One tweeted, “Too bah JONAS na si LOLONG AY PINAG PALA. SABIHIN MO SABIHIN MO [sic],” a popular reference from TikTok.

A netizen also jests that Lolong is a tough superhero due to his “superpower na malaki.”

One was “mad” that GMA Network revealed their “huge” secret.

A netizen even thought that viewers of Lolong were “thirsting over a granny with a big d.”

However, Daks was the nickname given to Dakila, Lolong’s companion in the series. Before Ronaldo, his father and mother formed a bond with the humungous crocodile, becoming its guardian as well as the protectors of the environment.

The topic also went head-to-head with the official trailer of ABS-CBN’s Mars Ravelo’s Darna.
