Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes’ sitcom leads weekend comedy shows

According to the survey of AGB Nielsen, Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa secured the number 2 spot on the July 23 rating chart with a 12.2% rating, following Magpakailanman, the #1 Saturday program. 

The Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes-starrer ‘Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa’ is the most-watched weekend comedy show last July 23 to July 24. 

According to the survey of AGB Nielsen, Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa secured the number 2 spot on the July 23 rating chart with a 12.2% rating, following Magpakailanman, the #1 Saturday program. 



Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy Ang Kwento ranked fourth in the chart with 10.5%, while Daddy’s Gurl earned 7.3%, settling in the #6 spot. 

Coming very close to Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa’s rating was John Lloyd Cruz’s Happy Together, which earned 12.1%, also the second most-watched Sunday program.

The Boobay and Tekla Show scored 4.6% and ranked 6th on the chart.

The weekend programming is still dominated by GMA Network programs. To note, all the Top 5 scorers for Saturday and Sunday are all Kapuso shows. 

For online views, Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa’s YouTube episodes earned 12k views, while Happy Together earned barely more than 20k views. 



On the July 23 episode of Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa, Jose (Dingdong Dantes) and Maria (Marian Rivera) gave love advice to Marco (Rob Gomez) and Mandy (Bianca Umali) to fix their relationship. At the end of the episode, Marco proposes to Mandy.
