Kapamilya love team, Aljon Mendoza and Karina Bautista explained that their pairing didn’t disappear at the media conference for the third season of ‘Hoy, Love You,’ with the press, including LionhearTV, on September 21, 2022.
Mendoza clarified why he was not in the latest season of Bida Star Versus.
“Hindi naman kami nawala po, ‘yung last project po namin ay ‘yung Viral Scandal. Tapos nagkaroon ng Bida Star, siya ‘yung nag-host din, may ibang commitment lang ako sa ngayon pero ito, mayroon kaming Hoy Love You Season 3.”
He then highlighted how happy he felt for their opportunity to grow in their respective careers.
“And happy naman kami kasi nagkakaroon kami ng ka-work mate na iba’t ibang tao so nagkakaroon kami ng opportunity na mag-grow, at makapag-explore. So ‘yun tignan natin, pero, for sure marami pa kaming gagawin na projects ni Karina together.”
Bautista reiterated her passion for hosting, which was her reason for returning to Bida Star Versus.
“Ako naman, I don’t think na ito ‘yung pagbabalik kasi hindi naman kami talaga nawala. Siguro kasi, mas passion ko talaga ang hosting. And, kaya talaga ako nagtuloy-tuloy sa Bida Star Versus at pagho-host ng Star Hunt auditions. Pero, ayun na nga, to be back with Aljon and itong Hoy Love You Season 3, ma-e-excite ang mga KarJon fans namin and we can’t just wait to actually experience more and try out new characters.”
Mendoza and Bautista then talked about how they evolved with their showbiz careers.
“Hindi kasi, nag-evolve talaga kami from Season 1 to Season 2, hanggang sa Season 3. Alam na namin ‘yung traits ng isa’t isa. So minsan napag-usapan namin ‘yung in your gram times, or ‘yung mga anong sign ka, zodiac sign, Cancer tapos Taurus. Minsan nag-usap kami, ‘Hindi, ayaw mo sa mga Cancer mga ganyan.’ ‘Yung mga ganon lang. All in all, okay kami,” said Mendoza.
“Siguro, habang tumatagal kami parang mas tinatanggap ko ‘yung qualities ng bawat isa kasi wala naman talagang perfect na tao kaya i-enjoy mo na lang at i-aappreciate ‘yung mga magagandang naibibigay, and ‘yung positive things parang doon na lang kami nagpo-focus. And then dine-develop na lang namin ‘yung hindi namin gusto,” Bautista added.
