The Kapamilya actress and TV host previously served Lazada’s rival e-commerce app, Shopee, as its brand ambassador.
Following days of speculation about who the latest Lazada brand ambassador is the news is already out. It’s Kapamilya Star, Anne Curtis. The announcement of her selection came days after the online shopping platform announced its mystery brand endorser. Curtis will be the face of Lazada, during the duration of its 11.11 super sale.
It can be noted that this isn’t the first time the Kapamilya actress is leading the sale campaign of an e-shopping brand. She previously endorsed Lazada’s strict rival, Shopee, for several of its super sale events. The company found itself in hot water after choosing Toni Gonzaga, as its newest brand ambassador.
Such choice is said to blame for the unflattering turnout generated by the 10.10 Shopee super sale, which Gonzaga headlined.
Speculations that Gonzaga’s stint on Pinoy Big Brother harmed Shopee grew stronger when promotional materials featuring Gonzaga were removed from Shopee’s social media pages. It can be recalled many users said they would uninstall the app, and shift to other online shopping platforms, following Gonzaga’s announcement.
Anne Curtis joins fellow big stars, Kathryn Bernardo, Bea Alonzo, Alden Richards, and Maine Mendoza, as Lazada Philippines brand ambassadors.
