Bayanihan and fun dominated over the weekend as a new songbayanan won the P1 million jackpot prize in ABS-CBN’s community singing game show “Everybody, Sing!” on Sunday (October 16).
Bank employees who served as the contestants of the show will be dividing the jackpot prize among themselves after they answered all 10 song titles correctly in the final round of Vice Ganda’s game show.
The bank employees used up only 50 seconds out of the 69 seconds they collected, making them the second songbayanan to be hailed as jackpot winners of the second season.
Meanwhile on Saturday (October 15), the songbayanan of tailors also went home with smiles on their faces with their P100,000 cash prize. The team only won P90,000 during the jackpot round after they correctly guessed nine out of the 10 song titles, but Vice Ganda’s generosity prevailed when she decided to personally give an additional P10,000.
Last weekend’s episode also captured the hearts of viewers as it registered multiple trending topics nationwide on Twitter.
An original concept of ABS-CBN, “Everybody, Sing!” is a unique Filipino game show that aims to underscore the importance of bayanihan and teamwork in communities especially during this pandemic. The show has been nominated in the Venice TV Awards and Asian Academy Creative Awards in 2021.
