Jeric Gonzales and Rabiya Mateo faced each other again after rumors spread that they had already ended their 3-month relationship.
The two dated around March 2022, and break-up rumors between them surfaced in June this year.
In TiktoClock’s episode on September 28, Jeric Gonzales and Yasmien Kurdi became the guest celebrities to promote their Kapuso series Start-Up PH. Rabiya Mateo was one of the hosts of the said Kapuso variety show.
In an exclusive interview with Gonzales on TiktoClock, he revealed that he was initially nervous about being on the show, but he eventually had a good time.
“Actually kinakabahan talaga ako sa guesting na ‘to with TiktoClock. ‘Yung mga hiritan, ‘yung mga hugutan medyo kinakabahan ako. Pero sobrang nag-enjoy ako kasi fun fun siya.
“‘Yung mga games namin na-enjoy ko kasi pinag-pair talaga kami e ‘no? Surprisingly, kilala ko kasi Rab e, competitive talaga ‘yan, hindi nagpapatalo. Pero ‘di rin ako nagpatalo. Nanalo ako,” he said.
At the end of his interview, Gonzales told Rabiya, “Ingat ka palagi, I’m always here for you. I am proud of you.”
On the other hand, Mateo said that she was happy to see Jeric and also wished him well.
“Actually masaya, kasi magkaibigan naman talaga kami ni Jeric. So kanina kulitan, sinakyan na lang talaga namin ‘yung kasiyahan. At ‘yung maganda sa amin wala talagang awkwardness kung makikita niyo nga sa screen.
“Hindi naman kami nagpapasikat, wala namang sama ng loob. I am happy na nandito sila to promote their show and nandito sila para maki-join sa amin sa mga games at sa kasiyahan. I’m sure maraming Tiktropa ‘yung natuwa.
“Jeric, balik ka ulit dito kung may ipa-plug ka,” she said.
Meanwhile, on September 22, Gonzales revealed that he and the beauty queen-turned-Kapuso talent are still good friends despite all the controversies.
Gonzales currently stars in the GMA adaption of the 2020 K-drama Start-Up. Rabiya Mateo currently hosts the Kapuso variety show TiktoClock along with Kim Atienza and Pokwang.
