Mariel Padilla proved that she and Kapamilya host Bianca Gonzalez are on good terms despite rumors saying the contrary.
Back then, rumors surfaced that Padilla and Gonzalez–are not okay with each other due to different presidential bets during the 2022 elections. Padilla supported President Bongbong Marcos, while Gonzalez campaigned former vice president Leni Robredo.
In Padilla’s YouTube vlog on September 29, she decided to make a prank call on her friends, Bianca Gonzalez.
“Ang sasabihin natin kay Bianca ay parang she’s saying bad things about me which Bianca doesn’t do.
“Grabe feeling ko kapag si Bianca kahit kunwari sinusunog na ‘yung bahay nila sasabihin na lang niya, ‘Oh I’m sure may reason sila ba’t nila ginagawa iyon’. Alam mo yun?” she said.
When she called Gonzalez, Padilla acted as if the TV host had said something ‘bad’ about her.
“Something is bothering me and the people there said na parang you said something about me during the event like parang super arte, lumaki ‘yung ulo, ganyan… Kaya I wanted to make sure.”
Gonzalez then denied that she would never do such a thing to her friend.
“I would never. My God. Who told you this?
“Never. Super. And why would I say that? You know that’s my favorite thing about you and lalo na about Robin into other people I don’t know. Ano ‘yun? Baka may galit sa akin ‘yung taong ‘yun,” said Gonzalez.
Padilla later broke the tension and admitted that it was just a prank call which relieved Gonzalez.
Padilla apologized to her friend for pranking her and thanked her for her time.
“Sobrang sorry and thank you so much. O di ba? Tapos noong feeling ko parang hindi masyadong maisip kung ano yung bad thing na sinabi ko, pumunta na agad ako kay Robin na lang.
“Siya na lang ‘yung bina-badmouth mo kunyari kasi hindi ko alam kung papano… Hindi masyadong malalim ang back story ko. Thank you, B. Thank you. Sorry. Thank you, bye.”
Their interaction proved that Padilla and Gonzalez are still close friends despite their difference in their political stances.
In July 2022, Gonzalez even showed her support to her showbiz friends Mariel Padilla and Toni Gonzaga.
