Vivo V25e is one of the latest additions to the v series, launching officially in the Philippines. It focuses on photography with outstanding photography specs and stunning color-changing designs. It looks like a solid upgrade for its predecessor. It sports a MediaTek new 6nm Helio G99 processor packed with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
UNBOXING. The box comes in the color gray. It is very stylish and packs all the essential accessories. Opening the box you will get the unit with a pre-installed screen protector, free transparent silicone case, warranty, quick guide papers, headset, a USB C to audio jack port adapter, the sim ejector pin, USB type C cable, and 44W fast charger which boost fast charging speeds from 0 to 50 percent within 30mins.
DESIGN. The vivo v25e we have comes in Sunrise Gold color but is also available in Diamond black. It is 7.79 mm thin and lightweight with the latest modern boxy design in a flat frame. It is sleek and comfortable to hold. Buttons are easy to reach.
On the front, it has a 6.44-inch water drop design notch that houses the front-facing camera. On the right side, you’ll find the volume and power buttons, while nothing is on the left side. On the bottom, you will find the USB C type c charging port, the speaker grille, the microphone, and the sim tray. It is a hybrid sim tray where you can set up a second sim or MicroSD card for expandable storage. At the top has the secondary noise-canceling microphone hole.
Flipping at the back, there is a rectangular design camera module that houses a triple camera setup and flash. The back incorporates a Fluorite Anti-Glare (AG) glass panel with color-changing capabilities that make use of Photochromic 2.0 technology. When sunshine or UV rays strike the back panel and are exposed to direct sunlight, it changes color from gold to orange. The rear glass has a nice matte textured finish which is fingerprint resistant.
DISPLAY. The vivo v25e has a 6.44 inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution display with a U-style notch. It supports a 90HZ refresh rate that makes for a smooth experience when interacting with the UI. The display and colors produced are vibrant with sharp details, viewing angles are good and screen brightness is a descent that can go up to 1300nix of maximum brightness.
CAMERA. Currently, the majority of people are used to showcasing photos and videos. This is why we need to have important photography specs and capabilities to capture different scenarios.
Vivo 25e is equipped with camera features and technology that make day and nighttime photography possible. The phone has three cameras, including a 64MP F1.8 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and phase detection autofocus as well as two secondary cameras. A 2MP F2.4 depth lens and a 2MP F2.4 macro lens with a 4 cm working distance.
Bright lighting produces relatively good quality from the rear cameras, with vivid colors and fine detail, though the dynamic range may be improved. Low light and night photography on the phone are improved by the 64MP main camera with OIS. Even with night mode off, the captured photographs have a very high resolution and are quite detailed. You should try the Bokeh Flare Portrait mode which blurs out the background to give you picture-perfect shots, and you can play with the flare to immortalize your moments. It does decent for nighttime shots and pictures come out great.
The 32MP front camera of the vivo V25e has an F2.0 aperture. Additionally, the camera offers various functions like bokeh mode, night mode, and 9 classic and 11 portrait filters.
The front camera on the vivo V25e takes good pictures, especially in bright lighting, and background blurring for portrait selfies is adequate.
The vivo V25e only supports 1080p video at up to 60 frames per second for the rear main camera and up to 30 frames per second for the front camera. The videos made with the primary camera have a good amount of detail and little noise. The video looks good, and it does a decent job with optical image stabilization. It has a Vlog Movie featuring vlog templates to suit your style and make that moment shine. Share your creativity with the world! Dual-View Video gives you an adjustable split screen, and simultaneous filming from the front and rear camera for that two-sided story.
SOFTWARE. The vivo v25e comes pre-installed with Funtouch OS 12, which is based on Android 12. The UI of Funtouch OS 12 is fluid, attractive, and simple to use. The typical Google and Vivo app suites are pre-installed, along with some bloatware applications. We get wallpaper theming and some nice customization.
A facial recognition system and an in-display fingerprint scanner are included in the vivo V25e’s security features. Both function well—the fingerprint scanner is rather quick and has high accuracy. However, in dimly lit environments, the face unlocks feature may take longer to respond.
PERFORMANCE. vivo V25e equips with a MediaTek Helio G99 CPU. Six highly efficient Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz and two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores operating at 2.2GHz are included in this 6nm processor, along with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
The vivo V25e performs flawlessly, and resource-intensive apps run without any issues. It offers a fluid gaming experience and flawlessly supports several different titles, like Call of Duty mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang with consistent frame rates and no noticeable lags or heating concerns with liquid cooling systems. User experience on this device has been satisfactory.
The loudspeaker’s audio quality is comparable to that of a regular smartphone. Although loud, there is no bass. When the volume is turned up the most, there is also some distortion. For improved audio quality, I advise utilizing headphones or an external speaker.
Additionally, the vivo V25e has Extended RAM 3.0 technology, which enables you to virtually enlarge your phone’s RAM by using internal storage. The gadget has 8GB of internal storage that can be used, giving it a maximum of 16GB of RAM.
BATTERY. The vivo V25e’s 4,500mAh battery easily provides you with a full day of moderate usage without the need for a second charge. The device scored roughly 16 hours and 24 minutes in the PCMark Work 3.0 Battery Life Test.
The 4,500mAh battery can be charged up from empty to roughly 60% using the vivo V25e’s 44W FlashCharge in just 30 minutes.
