At the media conference for Lovely Ladies Dorm, which LionhearTV covered on December 1, Viva artist Yen Durano asserted how being a sexy star comes naturally to her.
Durano said she doesn’t care about other people’s opinions about her going into the sexy genre.
“Ako, wala rin talaga akong paki. Like, the first time na gumawa ako ng scene, na ‘yun nga, ‘yung hubad-hubad na ‘yan, parang natural lang naman siya sa akin. Hindi naman ako kinabahan or anything, and I could care less what people think, kasi I’m just living in my now, dito ako sa present ko, wala na sa akin ‘yung mga sasabihin ng mga tao.”
DJ Durano’s daughter then discussed what she learned about herself while taping her upcoming Vivamax series.
“I guess what I learned from Jacquelyn is you don’t have to be strong all the time. It’s okay to allow yourself to feel things– and you can deal with that however you want. You don’t owe anybody an explanation on how you do it.
“A big thing with Jacquelyn was [also] setting boundaries for everything, and when you want to say no to things. You can–[you can] do that, and you don’t need to feel guilty about it.
“And the last thing is that when we’re going through difficult moments and [difficult] feelings. Surround yourself with good energy and good people who care for you. Because then it’s a healing process to be around people who love you.”
She then cited how she formed a bond with her Love Ladies Dorm co-stars.
“Since workshop pa lang, since the look test, we were all hanging– we’re going out, eating out. And then doing those things together, we formed that– really a bond. It was a natural connection as if we were aligned to be here as if we were aligned to meet. So I’m very grateful to have found sisters, in every one of them, a family.
“And in between sequences, when we do our shoot, waiting for our turn when we’re doing our make-up, we always open up to each other or magkukwento lang kami tungkol sa ayun, sa lives namin, and then just very deep, that’s why I guess we really have a good connection with each other.”
Durano stars in the upcoming Vivamax six-part series with Andrea Garcia, Tiffany Grey, Julia Victoria, Hershie De Leon, and Alma Moreno. Lovely Ladies Dorm, directed by Mervyn Brondial, streams starting December 18 via Vivamax.
