A total of 34 entries will battle it out in tonight’s 4-cock pre-finals of this year’s World Slasher Cup 1 9-Cock Invitational Derby at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Competing in today’s pre-finals were top cockers Jerry Celeste/Raul Panizal, Alex Soriano/Rex Gale/JD Nazareno/Joseph Calma, Don King, Mheng Melendres/Romel Magwili, Carlos Tumpalan, Ernesto Mercado, Manny Gragasin, James Atienza/Dodoy Diaz, Walter Ozaeta/Art De Castro, Toto Gregore/Dennis Lumpay, Edgardo Go/Dennis Lumpay, Bong Aspe, Doni/A1RC, Roger Jamisola/Michael M., Jun Manguera/Raul Panizal/Fred Bernardino, Belle Almojera, Jessa Amante/Gellene Timbol, Lito Cay/Joel Buisan, and Tony Marfori/Nelson Mantes.
Other top names of the sports who went into the pre-finals with 2, 2.5, 3, and 3.5 points at the end of the semi-finals were E. Azotea/Joven/Aguilar/J. Bacar/B. Joson/R. Facundo, M. Rocafort/E. Occidental/F. Dacara Jr., Nyok/Tony, William Mamba/Michael Masburn, Albert Dichavez, Randy Rabara/Don King/Raffy Fonacier, Danny Lim, Conrad Siochi, Nene Araneta, Wilfredo Sembrano Jr., Mario Siochi Jr., and Allan Villegas/Obet Bello.
Meanwhile, 32 entries will be competing in the 4-cock grand finals on February 1, Wednesday, after scoring impressive wins in the elimination and semi-final round.
Leading the competition with a flawless 5-0 record are Antonio Celedio Jr., Ronald Barandino/Ayong Lorenzo, Patrick Antonio, Ayong Lorenzo, Neil Figueroa, PADZBARR, and Albert Dichavez.
