At the media conference for ‘Without You’ on February 8, Kapuso artist David Licauco discussed what changed in his career due to the success of the GMA Network series, ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’.

Licauco cited that he felt overwhelmed that people started recognizing him more after portraying the role of Fidel.

Licauco expressed, “Well, personally, it’s the same, pero siyempre, right now that people know me more, so I [really] have to embrace that kasi siyempre, nakakagulat naman talaga, and overwhelming on my part. So, I’m just trying to keep it real–I guess. Tsaka mas malaking responsibility, kasi nga mas maraming tao ang nag-eexpect sayo, so ayun, I’ll just do my best.”

He then acknowledged the fortunate opportunities he received because of his role in the Kapuso series. He said he was just so lucky to have landed a role in ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’.

One of the projects mentioned was a possible entry for MMFF Summer Film Festival 2023.

Licauco stars in the romantic drama ‘Without You’ with fellow Kapuso artist Shaira Diaz.

The film features Mark Rivera, Casie Banks, Rhiana Pangindian, Dindin Pajares, and Luis Hontiveros.

Under the direction of RC Delos Reyes, the OctoArts Valentine film opens in cinemas nationwide starting February 15, 2023.
