On February 21, actor-politician Isko Moreno insisted that he is proud and supportive of his son Joaquin Domagoso has worked with Ako Si Ninoy and him in Martyr or Murderer.
During the grand media conference of Martyr or Murderer, Moreno highlighted how proud he felt of his son’s achievements, noting that Domagoso is already of age.
“Joaquin is of age already. He’s trying to make a living. Kaya ‘yung sinabi ko kanina na move on, I think that is more than proof–proof of what I’ve been saying, it’s more that what I’ve been, you know, what I said or sinabi ko ng nakaraan na mag-move on tayo.
“Si Joaquin is on the other side– I’m the other side, I think you know, that is proof already that wala sa amin ‘yung nakaraang election. You can do whatever he wants to do with his career, and I’m supporting it, and I’m proud of him.”
He then highlighted the recent achievements of his son.
“In fact, ‘yung nakuha niyang recognition as an artist, hindi ko nakuha ‘yun. Lahat noong araw puro nomination lang ako, at siya nanalo. Tsaka international pa, so I’m proud of him, and I’m excited for him. I wish him all the best and wala siyang maririnig, at wala siyang narinig about him going in the other side. He can do whatever he wants to do as an artist.”
He also excitedly talked about what it was like being a grandfather.
“Masaya, isang linggo akong nag-alaga. Oo–as I have told you, you’ve seen me for so many interviews during the campaign. As I have said, life is life. Remember that situation of mine when I was being [grilled] on a particular issue.
“So having said that [simply,] Scott is a blessing, I look at it as a blessing. Mahirap ang buhay but life must go on. Tulad ng sa ibang pamilya, ang hirap ng buhay ng tao ngayon. But, I enjoy it– I’m happy spending more time with [them] and that includes Scott.”
Martyr or Murderer stars Cristine Reyes, Cesar Montano, Ruffa Gutierrez, Ella Cruz, and Diego Loyzaga.
The film features returning cast members Kyle Velino, Elizabeth Oropesa, and Beverly Salviejo.
New faces also joined the cast like Moreno, Marco Gumabao, Jerome Ponce, Franki Russel, Cindy Miranda, Rose Van Ginkel, Sachzna Laparan, Billy Jake, and Marlon Mance.
Directed by Darryl Yap, Martyr or Murderer opens in cinemas on March 1, with a scheduled international release in the following weeks.
