On Thursday, March 16, Yap posted on his Facebook page a photo of him together with Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo and her husband, Matteo Guidicelli, with the caption “01MAR2023.”
It was then shared by the Twitter account @cinemabravoph on Friday, March 17 with the caption “JUST IN: #MartyrOrMurderer writer-director Darryl Yap took to social media to share a snap with celebrity couple Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli, raising speculations that an upcoming project with the three is brewing. #DarryYap captioned ’01MARCH2023.'”

@macoyski, meanwhile, clarified that it was a mere photo op when Yap met Sarah G at the Viva office after the Kapamilya star’s meeting for her upcoming 20th-anniversary concert.
“Ito yung first face-to-face meeting namin with SG for her concert. Check my previous posts here and sa IG ko. March 1 is SG’s 20th anniv, and my bday din. Haha! I saw the writer-director mentioned on this post sa Viva office that time. Nagpa-picture lang naman siya sa kanila.”

Meanwhile, Popstar Royalty is set to hold a major concert to celebrate her 20th anniversary in the showbiz industry.
In her Instagram post on Thursday, March 16, Geronimo teased her upcoming concert on May 12, 2023, to be held at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
